Harlem, 2019

This street photography project was an exploration of myself and my neighborhood, in an effort to find my place. As someone who is half-Jamaican and half-Indian, I have never felt a sense of belonging in my neighborhood. Though I was so familiar with the streets, storefronts, and people, it felt estranged from me. How can my Blackness come to life in the form of other people, buildings, and ideas?
